Matt McGinn at the Manor House
MATT McGINN AT THE MANOR HOUSE
Hailing from the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, Matt is on the verge of writing his 4th studio album, titled 'Lessons of War', featuring musicians from areas of war or conflict all around the world, as well as collaborations with some of the best Irish songwriters. Matt started as a session musician, playing in bands that shared stages with the likes of Crosby, Stills & Nash and Elvis Costello. His songs found their way onto American TV through other people's voices. Some years ago he found his own voice, learning from the masters as he opened for everyone of every genre coming through the speakeasy's of Belfast, from Peter Green and John Hammond Jr, to KILA and Foy Vance. Matt's ability to connect with the audience is his true strength. His energy and charisma on stage is infectious, and together with his incredible songs each carrying subtle messages on social awareness, listeners can be forgiven for not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
