Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival 2015 - Mon 25th May
RATHLIN SOUND MARITIME FESTIVAL 2015 - MON 25 MAY
Shipwreck exhibition
11am to 3pm. Pop in to the Richard Branson Centre and enjoy a remarkable display of shipwreck artefacts salvaged from the waters around Rathlin Island. This popular exhibition is testimony to the rich maritime history of the area and a moving reminder of the ever present risk to a life on the sea.
Kids Treasure Hunt
Beginning at Breakwater Studios at 12pm. Come along and join us for a treasure hunt along the seafront where you will discover treasure from sunken ships and perhaps meet a pirate or two along the way.
Armagh Rhymers
McCuaig’s Bar / Seafront, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. The Armagh Rhymers are one of Europe’s most celebrated folk theatre ensembles. A respected professional group of entertainers that have delighted audiences for over 30 years with our unique
blend of Mumming, poetry, music, drama, song and dance. Their style is deeply rooted in the old Irish Mumming traditions and they are easily recognised by their willow masks.
Pub Quiz
8.30. McCuaig’s Bar. Join local quizmasters George and Liz Withers for a fun evening of quizzing (with a nautical leaning!) with proceeds from the evening going to the RNLI. £10 per table, with a maximum of 4 people per
table.
