Damian Gorman Public Meeting

Tuesday 10 August 2010

By the time you read this, a contract will have been signed with Damian Gorman enabling his work with us to begin, listening and facilitating reflection and/or writing sessions with any who will join in.

This project, to take place during August and September, will, we hope, produce a ‘story’ built up of residents’ own creative reflections about life together on the Island. More than a document useful for ‘evaluating’ the current strengths and abilities of the Island’s community, we hope it will be an enjoyable and engaging experience for any and all who take part.

Damian will come over to Rathlin on Wednesday 18th August to introduce the idea and talk it through with residents, in the Richard Branson Centre, from 7.30 in the evening. Damian will also start to make contact with groups and individuals here, looking for ways that people may participate. But you don’t need to wait to be asked! If you are interested and willing to join in you could also let Stephen Ryan know, through the Resource Centre (or anywhere else you might find him on the Island!) and he can put you in touch with Damian. Don’t be shy! We know this is an Island of storytellers and creative people...
