The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service has asked us to remind island residents that free home fire safety checks are available to all, and should be carried out periodically.

Anyone who would like to avail of this offer should contact the local Fire Service team on the island or call 028 9260 0477. As next week is National Fire Safety Week, the Rathlin Emergency Station will be open to the public next Monday 5th October between 5.30pm - 8.00pm with members of the island's Fire Service team on hand to give fire safety advice.
