Proposed Council Parking Strategy 2017-2027

Friday 20 October 2017

As part of the Local Government Reform, all NI councils have to formulate parking strategies for their Local Development Plans. Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council are inviting local organisations to take part in a consultation on their Proposed Council Parking Strategy 2017-2027.

Of particular importance for Rathlin Island, residents and visitors, is an included consideration of seasonal charges for the Ballycastle Harbour and Marina car parks. The proposal suggests that parking permits would be considered for Rathlin residents.

The Council are asking for responses by 5pm Wednesday 1st November so please have a look through the proposals and/or talk to us in the Resource Centre where we will have some hard copies available.

The Council suggests 2 ways to respond directly: either online via the Survey Monkey link or by completing the Response Template and sending it to the address given on the form.

We are happy to gather responses in the Resource Centre from island residents and will pass them on to the Council. We will also prepare an RDCA response.

Thank you for your time and thoughts on this – it is much appreciated.
