Public Art Meeting
Wednesday 6 October 2010
There was a very well attended meeting at short notice this morning about the proposed public art project, with 23 island residents coming to the Richard Branson Centre.
Elaine Gaston, Arts Officer of Moyle District Council, and Malcolm Robertson, the sculptor chosen by the art panel explained the project, and the members of the island community outlined their perspectives on the art. There is a display now in the Resource Centre, along with comment slips, which island residents are encouraged to fill in - these will be sent to Moyle District Council on Friday. Further information will be passed on as soon as we get it. Many thanks to Malcolm and Elaine for coming to the island to listen to residents's views, and to everyone who took the time to come to the meeting.
