Water Leaks on Rathlin

Thursday 16th July 2020

A couple of weeks ago we posted a story about NI Water requesting people on Rathlin to reduce their water usage, in light of "a significant rise in the amount of water used in the home" since lockdown, in part causing a "significant drop in water levels" across the north.

As part of their response to this situation, NI Water continue to check for leaks on the island, and have identified some for repair. In addition to this they are appealing for Rathlin householders to check their homes and property for any potential leaks - back as far as the meter box at the road. Any reduction in water pressure could also indicate a leak, and NI Water need to know about any incidences of this as well - please call the Leakline free on 0800 028 2011 or let Noel know, and he'll report the leak or loss of pressure.
