Moyle District Council support for renewable energy on Rathlin

The RDCA Committee is delighted to welcome the decision of Moyle District Council to support the community's renewable energy project to the amount of £4,225 through the Community Infrastructure Fund.

This financial support will enable the RDCA to continue the process of applying for planning permission for the proposed community-owned wind turbine. This process involves bird and bat surveys, as well as other environmental obligations before the project can proceed further.

This support is crucial to Rathlin's ability to proceed with this exciting project, which will hopefully not only ensure more clean and renewable energy for Northern Ireland, but also contribute significantly to the Rathlin community's future development and economic stability.
