Volunteer Beach Clean

There was an excellent turnout both from the island community and from the mainland for a big beach clean on Saturday 31 March.

The event was supported by Tidy NI, Marine Conservation Society, and Moyle District Council amongst others. The school got the ball rolling on the Friday, with the Youth Club getting stuck in on the Saturday, alongside volunteers from the community and visiting help. The team managed to fill an entire lorry's worth, working their way round from the sheep house pier all the way to Mill Bay. Many thanks to all who got involved, some of whom travelled some way to lend their support, and here's hoping the beach will stay clean for some time to come!
