There was a huge pile of various types of certificates to give out to Rathlin residents on Monday afternoon, when there was an event organised to recognise the many and varied ways in which members of the island community contribute to island life and further their own qualifications and experience.

Included in the event were certificates recognising the work done in relation to Mental Health First Aid, powerboat training with Red Bay Powerboating, the ILM Level 3 caertificate in Leadership and Management, and the Appreciative Inquiry training that went into the groundwork for the 'Rathlin 2020' community consultation.

The event showcased the wide variety of work that goes on in a small island community such as Rathlin, and also the range of strong relationships that the island has built up with people like Roisin Kelly of NICVA and Charles Stewart of Redbay Powerboating, both of whom were able to attend. Congratulations to all involved!
