The RDCA, after experimenting with a satellite service from Avonline, has now gone with a phoneline business service from PlusNet for the Richard Branson Centre. This service is working well so far, with download speeds of 55.91 Mb/s and upload speeds of 8.31 Mb/s being recorded.
We have been told by BT, after a long period of trying to get services ourselves, and of trying to get information from them, that they are not currently planning on providing high speed services to business accounts on Rathlin.

There is now a new addition to the website, with a special section entitled 'Rathlin Nature'. This section will present valuable information about Rathlin's famed biodiversity and rich heritage of flora and fauna. Specifically, there is a link to the new DoE Marine Division leaflet 'Rathlin Island's dynamic coast and seas' about the rich marine biodiversity around Rathlin Island, and there will soon be a link to the forthcoming leaflet 'The nature of Rathlin and its townlands', which introduces the island's Local Biodiversity Action Plan.
A recruitment ad has been placed with the Job Centre Online NI for a Key Worker for the Manor House Project. This post is funded by the Coastal Communities Fund. The full wording is available here. The deadline for applications is Friday 26th June 2015.
