Interruption to Water Supply, Maintenance at West Light

There will be interruptions to the water supply tomorrow, Tuesday 14th September between 9.00am and 2.00pm. During this time, the public toilets at the harbour will not be in use. Also tomorrow, the West Light Seabird Centre will be closed between 9.00am and 1.00pm for maintenance by Irish Lights.

Septic Tank Desludging

Anyone wishing to get their septic tank desludged should ring NI Water on 03457 440088 to book theirs. If you use a mobile to call, you should get a confirmation text. Alternatively, go to their online booking page. The lorry will only come over to the island when they have enough bookings.

Northern Ireland Water has informed us that there will be a short disruption to the water supply on the island today for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, sometime between 12.00 noon and 2.00pm. They apologise for the inconvenience.

Water Usage in the Current Hot Weather

Northern Ireland Water has asked the public to reduce their water usage, given the current hot weather conditions. In a statement, they say that "due to the hot weather and people holidaying at home, demand is outstripping supply. We need to ensure everyone has sufficient water for hygiene and daily use."

Coal Deliveries

Murphy's is currently taking orders for coal deliveries to the island. They will come over once they have a full lorry's worth of orders, probably on either Friday 13th or Friday 20th August. Please ring 028 2177 1268 to place your order.
