"As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council’s Business Support team through its Alchemy programme, is hosting a day filled with networking opportunities and workshops for businesses.

The free event will take place on Thursday 21st November in the Bushtown Hotel, Coleraine, and is open to everyone regardless of where you are in your entrepreneurial journey.

The Irish comedy drama, The Last Right which was partly shot on Rathlin in December 2018 will be released across Ireland on Friday 6th December.

The bin lorry has a mechanical problem today, and has had to stop collecting the bins. It is hoped that the black bin collection will be completed later this week. We'll update as soon as we hear more.

NI Water have informed the RDCA of work taking place at the borehole site on Rathlin as part of NI Water upgrades to the water supply on the island.

“We wanted to let you know of the work which is proposed for this week which may cause some disruption to the island. Part of this work involves the construction of a new main, which runs along the road from the borehole site to the area in front of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Classic Cleaning from Ballymoney were over doing some work on the Richard Branson Centre, and they're willing to come back over for more work this autumn, such as window cleaning (inside and out), guttering, etc. if they have enough work. Message from the family of John Donaghy.

"John Donaghy passed away peacefully at home on Rathlin, yesterday Wednesday 4th of September. Reposing at his home on Rathlin on Thursday.

Removal at 10.30am Friday 6th September for 11.00am ferry. Further reposing at his sister Margaret's home on Friday and Saturday.

Funeral will take place at 12.00 noon on Saturday 7th September at St Mary's chapel in Tamnaherin, Co. Derry."

Our sincere condolences to his children Shauna, Feargal, Gretta and Cathal, and to the whole extended family.
