Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner Raffle

The RDCA would like to thank the Rathlin and Ballycastle businesses who donated prizes for the "Rathlin Senior Citizens' Christmas Dinner Raffle". A special word of thanks goes to the Ballycastle branch of St Vincent de Paul for their generous donation. A total of £182 was raised in the raffle, so thank you for contributing to this cause.

Resource Centre Christmas Closing

The Resource Centre will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays this Thursday 19th December, and will reopen on Monday 6th January 2020.

The RDCA Committee, and David and Stephen in the Resource Centre would like to wish everyone on the island and all of Rathlin's friends elsewhere a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The Last Right Preview Screenings On Rathlin

The Rathlin community was given two special preview screenings of The Last Right - the comedy drama that was partly shot on the island in December 2018 - last Monday in the Manor House. Hosting the screenings were producer Pippa Cross and writer/director Aoife Crehan.

The family of the late Sonia Soo Hoo, including her husband Michael Black and their daughters Ciara, Maeve and Catriona - well known to all on Rathlin - have requested that donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Rathlin's Tuesday Club, care of the Rathlin Development & Community Association (RDCA).

Arranmore Tragedy

It is with deep shock and sadness that we learned of the untimely death on Sunday morning of 26-year old Leigh Early, a skipper on the Arranmore Ferry and volunteer on the island’s lifeboat. From the Rathlin Island family, we add our sincere condolences to those of countless others and offer our thoughts and prayers for Leigh’s family, his friends and his community.
