Playground Closure

The playground will be closed from Monday 12th May until Friday 23rd May for resurfacing.

RDCA Committee Nominations 2014

There were five nominations for the Committee by the deadline of Thursday 1st May.

Four Committee members were re-nominated: Michael Cecil, Patricia McCurdy, Tom McDonnell and John McQuilkin (who had been co-opted since the last AGM). Ciaran McCurdy was nominated as a new member. In addition, Noel McCurdy has announced that he will be stepping down from the Committee at the AGM. This means that there are now five vacancies, and as there are no more than five nominations an election will not be necessary.

There was a huge pile of various types of certificates to give out to Rathlin residents on Monday afternoon, when there was an event organised to recognise the many and varied ways in which members of the island community contribute to island life and further their own qualifications and experience.

RDCA Annual General Meeting 2014

The 2014 Annual General Meeting of the Rathlin Development & Community Association will be held on Thursday 15th May at 7.30pm in the Parochial Hall. All members of the Association are encouraged to attend!

Nominations for the Committee are also invited, and must be submitted in writing to the Resource Centre by 3.00pm on Thursday 1st May.

Resource Centre Easter Closing

The Resource Centre will close for the Easter Holidays on Good Friday 18th April, and will re-open on Monday 28th April. Happy Easter to everyone!

'Rathlin 2020' Event

Over fifty five Rathlin residents came along to Bruce’s Kitchen last Saturday to participate in the RDCA’s community consultation.

A group of Rathlin residents attended the ‘Appreciative Inquiry’ training held on the island on Monday and Tuesday of this week. In total, fourteen people participated in the training, with nine residents being able to commit a lot of their time to complete the workshops.

Nelson Mandela Book of Condolence

Moyle District Council's Book of Condolence for the death of Nelson Mandela will be available on Rathlin from tomorrow, Thursday 9 January until Monday 13 January. The Book will be in the Resource Centre on Thursday, and the shop on Friday, Saturday and Monday for any island residents that would like to view and sign it.
