As part of Catholic Schools Week, St Mary's Primary School is holding a celebration of being a grandparent. They would like to extend an invitation to all grandparents on Rathlin to come to the school on Wednesday 1st February at 11.30am for a short assembly, followed by a cup of tea with the children.

The Manor House has now re-opened, with the new Lighthouse Café and Island Restaurant open for business as of today. Accommodation bookings are also being taken. The Lighthouse Café is open for all day breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, 11.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Saturday, and the Island Restaurant is open for evening meals on Saturdays 6.30pm - 9.00pm and lunches on Sundays, 12.00pm - 6.00pm. To reserve a table in the Island Restaurant, ring 028 2076 0046.

Ambrose Armstrong passed away earlier today. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time. The funeral will be held at 12.00 noon on Thursday 24th November in St Patrick's Church of Ireland, Cairncastle Co Antrim, followed by tea and coffee at the Masonic Lodge, Larne. Anyone wishing to send on cards can pass them to Suzy McKirdy who will bring them to the family.
