This year's Writer's Festival has unfortunately been cancelled due to funding difficulties. The future of the event will be discussed by the Ballycastle Writer's Group.
By the time you read this, a contract will have been signed with Damian Gorman enabling his work with us to begin, listening and facilitating reflection and/or writing sessions with any who will join in.
Rathlin Island Ferry Ltd has announced a new revised draft winter timetable, which is now on display in the Resource Centre, shop and pub. The basic draft timetable is reproduced below.
In addition to the recent sighting of a humpback whale off the West Light, there has now been a confirmed sighting of a group of Atlantic white-sided dolphins from the ferry. Hopefully these rare sightings will continue around the island in the future!

A few weeks ago, Brad and Anja Robson gave an illustrated talk on their year on the (extremely!) remote Island of Tristan da Cunha. They are to return to Rathlin this weekend, accompanied by Kirsty Green, a young woman from Tristan da Cunha, currently visiting Northern Ireland.
